CHANNEL PODS

The Pods are single-channel dataloggers that can be daisy-chained up to 6 channels.  The Pods are complementary products to other GSS products like the 5GV and Razor adding datalogger capability at a fraction of the cost of installing a competing datalogger.  The Pods are an ideal solution when you already have a 5GV or Razor installed and need to add one or more dataloggers to obtain readings from piezometers, strain gauges, IPIs, shape arrays, and more.  GSS will offer more products to work with the Pods that allow customers to quickly, easily, and cost-effectively deploy custom datalogger and solutions that meet their needs.

The Pods really show their value when the cabled sensors deployed on-site use multiple technologies such as Vibrating Wire, 4-20mA, RS-485, RS-422, RS-232, SDI-12, Analog, and Pulse.  No need to install multiple dataloggers to handle the different technologies, just obtain a Pod for each technology, daisy-chain them back to a 5GV or Razor, and readings can be uploaded to the location of your choice.

Each Pod has its own processor, which has benefits such as the Pod can scan the cabled sensor and automatically configure its setting.  These settings can be overridden by the user if required.  As each Pod acts independently they can all take readings simultaneously.  This feature would be useful for load cells that contain 6 strain gauges.

The Pods can be installed outdoors or inside enclosures.  GSS offers DIN rail mounts, which can further ease installation and maintenance activities.  The sensor cable wires are connected to the Pods terminal, the cable gland secured, then the Pods can be attached to the DIN rail effortlessly.

The Pods provide you with the flexibility to add channels, select the technology, and send data from the cabled sensor to the location you want it.  Buy what you need, install it quickly and easily, and move it to other locations as required.  It’s as simple as that.

GVWD

COMMUNICATION MODULES

Software Applications

When you buy a GSS product, we provide you with PC and Mobile application software to configure, manage, and even generate reports – all free of charge.
There are PC-based applications designed to work with particular products and offer a user-friendly interface and access to industry reports.  The Bluetooth Mobile application, GSSLink, is available on GooglePlay and is a useful tool to check the status or reconfigure the product onsite.

3GV CONSOLE

The 3GV Console is a powerful PC-based application that simplifies the configuration and management of GSS 3GV, 4GV, and 5GV products. With the ability to connect to devices directly via a USB cable (online) or remotely via an FTP server (offline), the 3GV Console offers users an intuitive interface for configuring and managing their devices.

In the office, the 3GV Console provides direct access to device settings, allowing users to configure and test settings immediately. The console also offers real-time logging information, making it easy to troubleshoot any issues that arise. Users can run and monitor devices in the office prior to installation to ensure that readings are uploaded correctly and in the desired format.

Once deployed in the field, the 3GV Console becomes an essential tool for managing devices remotely. Users can change configuration settings and upload them to an FTP server, where the device can download and update its configuration file. With the ability to view uploaded files using Excel or Notepad, or in Industry Standard Formats (USBM, FFT) with the 3GV Console, users have a range of options for analyzing and interpreting the data collected. The console also presents data in easy-to-understand graphs, allowing users to quickly identify patterns and trends.

CALIBRATION

Prior to delivery, GSS or our distributors calibrate Vibration, Tilt, Sound, and Air Overpressure sensors. GSS recommends recalibration annually for optimal performance, or according to the best industry practices, country of operation, or project requirements.

To ensure our customers get the best performance, GSS developed an Automated Calibration System (ACS) that GSS plans to install in every country where our products are sold. Our ACS helps us quickly turn around calibrations, minimizing unnecessary project delays and maximizing our customers return on investment.

Even if your distributor doesn’t have ACS in your country, GSS remains committed to a quick one-business-day calibration turnaround time. Our products are designed with sensors in the top, meaning only the lightweight tops are sent back for calibration, resulting in less expensive logistics fees.
